Programme Description / Penerangan Program
The Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science is a programme that aims to produce holistic graduates by focusing on High–end Technical and Vocational Education (HE – TVET). Both recent graduates and working professionals will have the chance to learn pertinent topics and skills that have an impact on current practise through a curriculum that takes a balanced approach. The core courses will give students a solid foundation for using their programming and data science skills in the workplace. The curriculum will help students develop their modelling and interpreting skills, enabling management to make data-driven decisions.
Entry Requirement/ Syarat Kemasukan
i. Bachelor's degree in science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, economics or related field from UiTM OR any institution of higher learning in and outside the country recognized by the Malaysian government with a minimum HPNG of 2.75,
OR
ii. Bachelor's Degree in science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, economics or related field from UiTM OR any institution of higher learning in and outside the country recognized by the Malaysian government with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at least 2.50 and have at least two (2) years working experience in a related field,
OR
iii. Diploma in a related field from UiTM OR another university recognized by the Malaysian government AND at least 5 years of working experience in a related field (subject to internal assessment).
iv. STPM / Diploma in a related field from UiTM OR another university recognized by the Malaysian government AND passed the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) assessment AND at least 30 years old age with work experience in a related field (subject to internal assessment)
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT: ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT

Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 4 OR |

IELTS Band 5.5 OR |

TOEFL: Internet-Based Test (IBT: 46); OR |

A candidate who does not have any of the above English certificates is required to attend a six (6) months English Proficiency Class (EPC) prior to enrolling into the program. Upon completion of the EPC program, candidate needs to sit for any of the above English examinations with the score stated above before the postgraduate programme is completed. |
